The Story of the Stones

An intimate immersive performance project that explores the rich heritage and history of Wakefield Cathedral and its surrounding areas by bringing to life the people named in the Cathedral’s memorial stones. Through music, movement, and storytelling, it brings together local voices to reflect on the stories embedded in the stones beneath our feet, from politicians who sought to make a fairer society, to Inn proprietors, and even cat-loving eccentrics.
